Answered Prayers

Answered Prayer

The Airbnb Host Came Through at the Last Minute

Fifteen minutes from the rental, no response from the host, and no way in. We prayed. He responded within a minute.

Answered Prayer

10 Seats on the Flight Home

A same-day change meant needing 10 seats on Southwest back to Austin — on a specific flight, not just any route. There were 11 available on the exact one.

Answered Prayer

Missing Bags Found Before Tracking Them Down

After the break-in, we prayed we'd find the stolen items before having to track the "Find My" location ourselves — which could have meant walking into something dangerous. We found the bags on our own first. A situation that could have turned threatening was quietly avoided.

Answered Prayer

The Last Flight Out

Severe weather was wreaking havoc on flights across the board. We prayed our plane would make it in safely — and that the crew delays wouldn't stack up so badly that they'd be grounded before we could depart. God answered. Our plane arrived, the crew made it work, and we lifted off — on the last flight out.

Answered Prayer

The Van Window Was Covered

After the break-in smashed the window of the rental van and our laptop bags were stolen, we prayed the Tura van owners would have mercy on us and not charge us an unreasonable amount for the repair. We never heard from them. Praise God — it seems they're taking care of it completely. Sometimes an answered prayer looks like silence.
